Submit Button Hangs “Please wait…”

  • Hi there,

    For some reason the submit button to make a PayPal donation is not working. It simply hangs and says “Please wait…” and nothing happens regardless of how long you wait.

    I tried moving the JS to the footer, that didn’t work. I’ve disabled caching, that didn’t work. The plugin is up to date, as is the database and WordPress itself.

    How can this be solved? Thanks in advance for your help!

    Hmmmm I see that. That’s very odd because I also don’t see any JS errors on the page or anything.

    My best suggestion would be to deactivate all plugins besides Give. If it works as expected then re-activate each plugin one at a time until you see the problem again. Then let us know which plugin caused the error and we’ll dig into it.

    Hi Matt,

    Thanks for your response. I have done the testing and the conflicting plugin was:

    Gears 4.1.1 (Author: Dunhakdis)

    It adds functionality to BuddyPress and I believe it came bundled with a theme I purchased. I tried it with the new version of Give and PHP version 7.0 – still no good.

    Any ideas as to what the conflict could be exactly?
