Submit button does nothing, no communication to server

    I was using the widget in the sidebar, but it was not working. Clicking submit caused no interaction with server when viewing in inspector and nothing was submitted to Mailchimp.

    For now I am using the mailchimp supported plugin which works but is not as customizable.
    I set up a test page using the link I provided in case you can take a look and see the issue.

    Hey Mark,

    Thanks for reaching out to us.

    It seems there is some conflict with other plugins or your theme. Can you first go to “MailChimp for WP > Forms”, delete all the code and add the fields again and test?

    If this does not work, please switch to default WordPress theme and test again. Let us know if any of this gets the form to work.

    I don’t have time right now to help debug this. So you can mark it resolved, but solution was to use the mailchimp plugin instead which worked.
