    Hi Evino,

    Thanks for the kind words.

The easiest way to change the labels in buttons (and most strings in the plugin) is to use a translation file. You activate it using the instructions here: https://businessdirectoryplugin.com/quick-start-guide/#translate

And then change the WPBDM-en_US.po file to alter the “Add A Listing” string to whatever you want. Repeat for any strings you want (and be sure to search the file thoroughly, as many strings are duplicated in some form or another)

Button spacing is best handled through custom CSS. Here is an article about how to use custom CSS with Business Directory in a way that doesn’t get overwritten on upgrade of BD: https://businessdirectoryplugin.com/support-forum/faq/how-to-use-custom-styles-with-bd-2-1/

Please let me know if you have any other questions or issues!

    Thanks!

I have one problem tho.. The en_US is 0% translated, and empty when I open it in Loco translation. I seem to have a Spanish version? I also added Swedish, but that is also empty.. Any ideas?

Use POEdit instead of Loco translation. POEdit understands the format of those files. https://poedit.net That’s the native “WP editor” that they recommend.

Im going crazy over this… I tried to use poedit (I also tried this yesterday).. I save the file as sv_SE.po and upload this to the language folder. But what then? How do I tell WP/the plugin to use this file instead of the old one?

Thanks for the support, I really seem to need it!

    Hi Evino,

First, your file needs to be named WPBDM-<language-code>.po/mo. You can’t save it as just “sv_SE.po”. It should be WPBDM-sv_SE.po (note the use of the dash and underscore carefully here)

Our translation file guide also notes some other steps, like activating the translation file here: https://businessdirectoryplugin.com/quick-start-guide/#translate Make sure you did all of those steps (wp-config.php, the setting, the upload) to activate the file properly.
