    Form submissions are being received but from [email protected] instead of customers email address. Therefore, when I hit reply it goes to myself instead of my customer. Can you please tell me how I can change this?

    Do I need to change the “from Email” field setting to %email% ? Currently it is mail.mywebsite.com

    Thanks.

    @heath4031,

    You should choose the email field for From Email field. It should be accessible if you press + button. Thanks.

    Thanks Sona, yes I can see the “from Email” field, but what do I type into that field? If I want it to be sent from the random customer’s email account. I don’t want an email to arrive in my inbox and for it to say it was sent from me, I want it to say it was sent from the sender’s email account so that when I hit “reply” in the email I don’t send the email back to myself. Perhaps I should insert the code: {Email:value}
    ?

    @heath4031,

    Please in your form create an email type field. Then in your Email from field using the + button choose this field. This way you will receive it from your user’s email. Thanks.

    Thank you for your responses Sona, however I have studied them carefully several times and cannot make sense of them. Can you please explain?

    “in your Email from field using the + button choose this field.” (Which field? What is “this”?)

    Thanks

    Thanks for the screenshot Sona. I don’t have the same options on my screen. Please see the two screenshots that I have taken:

    @heath4031,

    You are using very old version of Form Maker or you have edited the form which is created with a really old version of Form Maker. If you case is the second one, please create a brand new form. Otherwise update your plugin. Plus note that even if you have a user email field it is not created by email type, which is a required step for having the email here.

    Hi Sona, I have version 1.9.11 which is currently the latest version.

    @heath4031,

    It’s not the version of the Form Maker, but the form. If you update the plugin, it doesn’t update the included default forms, thus you need to create a new form within the latest version to have all of the functionality available with the newest version.
