    Hi

First of all, thank you for an awesome plugin.

I have, however an issue. It seems impossible to submit without filling every field, even if required is turned off. The scenario happens if the user foregoes the checkbox on section 2 (which will show extra fields) and goes straight to submitting.

Only when the checkbox is pressed, and all the conditional visiblity fields are filled, will it allow the user to post the form on the final page. I’ve tried removing *required from the fields, but this still doesnt work, so it seems unrelated.

Thank you for any help or insight into this.

  • Required hidden fields and the checkbox condition might be your problem, but I’ll leave it up to the experts here. What Forminator and Elementor versions are you using? My problem is with page break not showing fields on next page.

    Hi Bobby

Using Oxygen, not Elementor. Tried Forminator 1.20 and 1.21.

If I completely remove the required from the hidden fields, the issue persists. If I change the check box with a select (drop down) the issue is still there. I would love to just get an error message, instead it just wont post ??

    Hi @arivain

    I hope you’re well today!

I visited the page with the form and if I’m not mistaken those additional fields (that show up when you check the checkbox) are not “fields group” (as in repeater fields) right? They are just regular fields showing up based on conditional logic?

I’m asking because there’s an issue related to grouped fields but if that’s not the case, then we’d need to check the form closer.

Could you please export the form and share with us?

    To do so:
    – go to the “Forminator -> Forms” page and from the drop-down menu under the little “gear” icon next to the form, select “Export”
    – put export code on pastebin.com
    – and share link to it in your response here

I (or one of my colleagues) will import the form to test site and check it thoroughly there. If we can replicate the same issue with this form, we’ll “dig down” into the form to find out whether it’s a matter of some setting or some bug to be fixed by us.

If the form works fine on our test setup, it would mean it’s a matter of some unexpected conflict on your site – we’ll then see how to identify and fix that.

    Best regards,
    Adam

    Hi @arivain,

To check this issue further, I exported the form to a test website and was able to notice the following error in the browser console.

Uncaught RangeError: Maximum call stack size exceeded

I was able to notice the same error on your website as well.

Further checking, it looks like an issue that is already reported. Can you please re-add all the number fields on your form, keep the default settings and check if that resolves the issue? If the issue didn’t show up, please try configuring the Limits and check if the issue re-appears.

Please let us know the results so we can help you further.

    Kind Regards,
    Nebu John

    Hello @arivain ,

We haven’t heard from you for over 2 weeks now, so it looks like the proposed workaround worked for you.

Feel free to re-open this ticket if needed.

    Kind regards
    Kasia
