Hi

it seems that the submission ID is not following a sequence. I Have checked the submissions and the submission ID is not in numerical sequence.

example, I receive submission ID 1, 2 and then 5 then 7, 8,9 etc. it seems to be random and not following a sequence.

is it possible to have the submission ID in sequence?

if not, is it possible to define another submission or unique ID to track the submissions in sequence?

Hi @wickedgetz

I hope you are doing well.

The submission IDs are shared across your forms, for example, if you have two forms A, B

A submission 1,2,3
B Submission 4
The next ID for A will be 5

You can give a look at this code:

Install it as a mu-plugin:

It will modify the flow adding a “order id” to submission, but please test it first on a Staging site.

We do have a request to our developers for implementing a native option for Forminator and let them know you are also looking for it but we don’t have any ETA yet.

it seems that the submission ID is skipping numbers.

it is only 1 form that is active and receiving submissions.

you will see that the submission ID is not in sequence.

any particular reason for this?

Hi @wickedgetz,

I hope you are doing well today!

Normally submission IDs should be for all forms on the site as explained by Patrick before. Is it possible that you have more than one form before? As I have noticed 19, 20 and 27 to 33 are missing only which could belong to another form removed before.

Please also provide us the link to the form page and the export of the form so that we can check further if the issue persists for the upcoming submissions.

After exporting, please share the code using a service such as https://pastebin.com which is free to use.
