    Hello,
I recently installed the Max Mega Menu plugin for the site I’m working on, as my clients wanted to change the menu layout for the sidebar menu to have horizontal submenus. I believed I changed the layout using megamenu properly, but the changes aren’t showing up in the site itself. Could anyone help me with why this might be?
    Thanks,
    Youki Iimori

    Hi Youki,

Thanks for posting a link. Your side menu is currently output using the default Elementor Nav Menu (not Max Mega Menu). To use Max Mega Menu there, you’d need to follow this guide:

    https://www.megamenu.com/documentation/elementor/

You would also need the Pro version as you would need to put a vertical menu there:

    https://www.megamenu.com/documentation/vertical-mega-menu/

(the free version only supports standard horizontal menus)

    Hello,

Thanks so much for getting back to me!
One quick question though, would changing from the Elementor Nav Menu to the Max Mega Menu change styles significantly or make it difficult to have it match up with how it looks now?

    Thanks,
    Youki

    Hi Youki,

It would be a completely different style, as MMM will not inherit the styling from your theme. You would need to use the theme editor to try and match it as closely as you can to the current styling. The slide effect that happens when you hover over one of the emnu items is also not possible with MMM.

Overall, it may be easier to try and modify your current menu system to do what you need it to do.

    Regards,
    Tom
