I used the Combine JavaScript Files of SG Optimizer and now my submenus don’t seem to drop down when you hover. I tried toggling the Combine JS files off, and disabling SG Optimizer completely, but that didn’t fix the problem so I turned them both back on. I can’t figure out how to exclude menus (or just Global Menu?) with the exclude feature. Please help.

    Hey @ray9ray9

I’ve checked your site, but even with SG Optimizer disabled, the submenus are missing.

Something else is hiding them, but it’s not our plugin.

I changed the menu (to one called Global2) on Sunday night so that it could work today. I’ve put the broken one (called Global Nav) back now. The submenus should be under “Services” and “RFQs.”
I did try disabling SG Optimizer before, and it made no difference. Does that definitely mean that combining JS files didn’t cause the problem? I was worried that once I’d done that there was no way to UNcombine them even if I disable the feature. Obviously I don’t understand this very well and shouldn’t have messed with it.
It may be that the problem was caused by the recent WordPress update. I’m not sure where to post the question in that case.

I’ve had to change the menu back to one that doesn’t use submenus. I know it’s hard to look at it if it keeps changing. Thanks for trying!

Okay, after reading this thread, I installed the “Enable jQuery Migrate Helper” plugin and that solved my problem, at least for now. Thanks Darren_S!

(I should probably add that the problem is likely to be that our theme is too out of date to work well with the latest WordPress update. I didn’t realize it because it’s a third-party, customized theme that WordPress doesn’t flag as having updates available. So Stanimir is right, the problem was not SG Optimizer. It was me not understanding where our theme came from!)
