Hi. It seems that ‘User menus’ does not allow submenus: after creating a custom menu link, only visible to Logged in users, I added two submenus (also visible to Logged in users) below that, but they do not appear in frontend. Is this a bug or is it normal?

@aolaru – I will need to test this and try to duplicate the issue. Ultimately I think it should be working fine, that said if you hide a parent item, I would assume you would want the children hidden as well without having to set them up individually, so will test for that as well.

That said its really late here, so will not be tonight. Will get back to you though.

OK, thanks. I already tried to hide only the parent menu but no luck.

@aolaru – Sorry for the delay. Finally got around to testing this. For me when I hide a parent item, without adding any changes to children, the parent and children no longer render on a clean install.

Checked the code and we do remove all children of a hidden item as well so it should be working unless your theme is using a custom nav menu walker that bypasses normal filters, just one possible cause.
