Submenu transition smoother

Hello,

Is there an easy way to make the transition between the menu and the submenu (on hover) smoother?

I know basic css to work around but I’m having difficulties doing so using this plugin.

Right now the menu appears pretty fast and I would like to be a slower/smoother ease-in
