    Hello to all,

After upgrading to WP 3.4, I experienced a problem with adding submenu items.
I am using Twenty Eleven theme, and I didn’t noticed this problem before.

    Link to my site.
    Menu hierarchy exemplar:

    – 1st level menu item, parent: “Software Products”
    – 2nd level menu subitem, child: “EMU – Event Monitoring Utility”
    – 3rd level menu subitem, child of 2nd level item: “History of EMU development”

It is curious that menu structure and all items/subitems inherited from old WP work
on new WP 3.4, but as I mentioned before, I can not add any 3rd level menu subitem
    described before.

Thank you very much for any help.

    Best Regards,

    9a2gb

    Hey 9A2GB,

I just had a look at your site and I see the 3’rd level menu subitem, did you manage to find the fix?

    Cheers!

    Hi petredobrescu,

Unfortunately, I didn’t find a solution for described problem. What you see on my site are remnants of the menu system from old WP.

As I mentioned before, it is curious that menu structure and all items/subitems inherited from the old WP work on new WP 3.4, but I can not add any new 3rd level menu subitem.

    Hi 9A2GB,

I just tried this on a test site and I could add with no issue sub-menus up to 5 levels.

I didn’t ask you before what happens when you’re trying to add another 3rd level sub-menu? Is there any error message? Have you tried using another browser? I just had a small (ajax) glitch with Firefox, but with Chrome it went smoothly.

    Hi petredobrescu,

Thank you very much for the hint. You are right, with Chrome it went smoothly. The main cause of described problem was IE8, which I have used until today.

    Thank you again!

    Regards,

I’m glad you finally solved your issue ??

Good luck and I advise you to stay away from IE. Bad bad browser :))
