Submenu

Hi. I have created a vertical menu using a Menu Widget on a single page template. I wish to show a dropdown submenu when hovering over the link. However the submenu is appearing on the right side of the menu link when hovering over. How can I get the submenu to drop down from the menu link? I don’t have this issue with a horizontal menu layout. Only with a vertical menu layout. Can you you help me?
