    G’day guys,

Having an issue (must have been a fairly recent update (but unsure when)) where the subject line of the automatic latest post is now shown encapsulated with “strong”.

I have tried a completely new template and it works fine until I change the subject to just be “[newsletter:post_title]”. Then it acts the same.

Any thoughts? Or is this a bug?

Version 4.8.1 and WP version 6.1.1.

    Hi @sjswarts,

Having an issue (must have been a fairly recent update (but unsure when)) where the subject line of the automatic latest post is now shown encapsulated with “strong”.

Can you please confirm this post titles had <style> and/or <script> tags in HTML blocks in the Gutenberg post editor? If so, that would explain the issue. They render OK on the front end of the site — styles applied, and JavaScript ran. In the MailPoet email, however, the HTML tags are removed, but the content is included in the Post Notification email.

Our devs are already aware of this problem and discussing how to fix it.

It self resolved with an update that came a few weeks later.

    Thank you.
