    Hello, just a little suggestion.
Right now every additional language has its own subfolder like https://www.mydomain.com/de. But is it possible to have the same for the default language (maybe as an option), without being redirected to the base url?

I would like to use the base url as a sort of dispatcher and write my own redirection code to redirect visitors to their language-specific url’s. But if i do this without having the default language callable with its own url, visitors never can watch the site in the default language, if they wish to.

Yeah, i know about that. But i don’t even know, if this is working at all. In my case i should redirected to the german page, but if i type in the base url, i don’t get redirected, even if i delete the language cookie before.

But beside that, i’d like to have more control about the redirection. I’d like to redirect every visitor who browse the base url to his language specific url. But they should be able to get on every other language, if they want to. But in this scenario, this is only possible, if the default language has it’s own url, like the other languages.

What locales are You using on your site?
    What languages of Your browser?

Right now only en_US and de_DE. Server variable includes both of them with a slightly higher priority for de_DE.

    What languages of Your browser?

Browser language is german. $_SERVER['HTTP_ACCEPT_LANGUAGE'] contains de-DE,de;q=0.9,en-US;q=0.8,en;q=0.7.
And i have never noticed a redirection to the german page.

    Edit:
I think it’s because you search for de_DE in this string, but it’s de-DE.

I did fix detect browser language.
In next version I will add posibility for use prefix for default language.
    Specialy for You.
But it contradicts of Google guidelines https://support.google.com/webmasters/answer/189077?hl=en
