• What I’m trying to do is create one installation of WordPress for example.com and setup multiple domains to point to it. So I would have:

    portal01.example.com
    portal02.example.com
    portal03.example.com
These each need to keep their sub-domains in the URL bar and not be redirected to the “primary” domain.

If anyone has any experience with this or has any insight on how to do this? I would really appreciate this.

  • Have you taken a look at Multisite?

    Create a Network

For a sub-domain network, you will need to add a wildcard sub-domain.

If you want all 3 sub-domains to display the same primary blog, but retaining the sub-domain within the URL, you could cheat a little and use a duplicator plugin to simply duplicate the main blog to your chosen sub-domains.

    Multisite Clone Duplicator

    Is this what you mean?

    Thanks “ThemeSumo” for reply.
I understood this way. But plz tell me somethings about this way,
    1. if a user make account on primary domain, will he be able to login in other subdomains or each subdomain will have its own users?
    2. Plugins, theme and other settings will be same like primary domain or all things will be separate for each domain?
