The Yoast SEO only includes the URLs from the same WordPress installation where the Yoast SEO is installed. So, if you’re wanting to include subdomain URLs in the XML Sitemap which are not part of the same WordPress installation, Yoast SEO won’t add them automatically.

However, if you’re wanting to add external URLs to the Yoast SEO sitemap, please refer to our this guide which shows exactly how to go about doing this.

The WordPress installation is the same, change only category trasform in subdomains via wildcards.

The sitemap won’t include the subdomains since you somehow setup the subdomains only for categories via wildcards.

So, if you’re still wanting to include the subdomains in the XML sitemap, please refer to the relevant guide provided to you in the first response.
