subdomain site not opening

  • Hi,
    On my main domain, I have created a subdomain to test another site. But after installing wordpress, I can open and work in the dashboard but when I try to open the site for testing, it shows me an error that “wp-config file is already installed”.
    The site does not open. I can see my site through “customize”. I have created a separate database and user for this subdomain.
    Can somebody help me on this. This is a little urgent.

  • Did you upload a fresh WordPress files to the new folder? All files should be taken straight from the installation package, not the existing installation.

    Also, please try to refresh your browser’s cache (ctrl + F5)

    Doublecheck your database connection on the wp-config.php file.
