Subdomain not working with WordPress Site

I had built a WordPress website and temporarily hosted it in a folder titled ‘wpdev’. I also have a subdomain (shop.mywebsite.com) that worked perfectly.

I then moved over my WordPress website but kept my files in the /wpdev/ folder and redirected via the WordPress tutorial. My WordPress site works perfectly, BUT, my subdomain now doesn’t work.

I did some research already and people had suggested that the .htaccess in the root was causing the problem. I renamed this file and still am getting nothing. The page on my subdomain shows as ‘Server not found’.

I went to whatsmydns.net and the subdomain has a red ‘x’ for every country. We are using a Virtual Dedicated Server and I checked that the DNS settings are pointing to our server.

I should add that my subdomain is not part of WordPress.

Any ideas?
