• I’ve done some searching and haven’t found QUITE what I’m looking for. Apologies if I’ve missed a similar thread. Please point me to it and close this one.

I’ve developed a new site in WordPress for a client of mine.

Their current (old) site is being hosted on Yahoo SiteBuilder (bleh)

    It’s located at https://www.sitename.com and sitename.com.

Over on the Yahoo side of things, I created a new DNS record for new.sitename.com and pointed that to a new WordPress hosting account they’d purchased.

So… they want to keep their email, etc. exactly the way things are so I need to keep the SiteBuilder hosting intact. I figure the best way to go about this is simply to update the DNS for www. and *.sitename.com and point to my new WordPress install.

However… I’m not sure how / when I should go about moving the wordpress install from the subdomain to the root.

Follow me? Sorry for the confusion. Thanks in advance.
