subdomain created but cannot be browsed

Hello, everyone,

I wanted to add “adsense for search” to my site. But because there’s something wrong with my theme I can’t choose a template when I try to create the results page (the template dropdown is missing. Even right after fresh theme activation).

So my solution was to change my site into a network and create a subdomain which will be the results page and for which I can simply choose the theme I need.
The problem is: after I created the subdomain it just doesn’t work. When I hit the link to it I get an error message from firefox saying the server is down. The main site is fine.

Any ideas what can be wrong?
