• I built the site on one install and moved it successfully to the new domain.

backup the database and imported it did a serialised url replace.

installed the site again to a subdomain. The idea was to have a store available only to those with a password which will have different prices for preferred members.

did the same import and serialised url replace for http:url.co.uk/directory

I can view the site at the /directory location

but when I click the store page (I used woocommerce plugin) it brings me back up a level to the original

    url.co.uk/shop

    instead of

    url.co.uk/directory/shop

I have no idea how to fix this.

is it because I didn’t stick a / at the end of the subdirectory wp install when I did the search and replace? I was conflicted on whether to add that.

    installs can be found here

    TLDR

My subdirectory site keeps reverting back to the parent directory whenever I click on a link

You might get faster answers if you posted in the right place and waited more than 4 hours to complain that no one can help.

The Multisite forum is for people using Multisite, not for people with multiple separate installs. I’ve moved this post.

Make sure every caching plugin is off, and verify that the home and siteURLs are correcyt.

I had almost the same problem. In my case, I had to go into the admin panel of my webhoster and sync the htaccess files, that fixed it right away!
