Subcategories not displaying

    I cannot get subcategories to display on my shop page. Clicking on the subcategory listings should bring you to the products but instead, it is bringing you directly to the products (ie, not displaying the subcategories). It has been working perfectly for 5 years.

    1. Customizer is set to only show category (on Shop page display) and sub-category (on Category display)
    2. Sub-Category not showing under category page only products

    Uninstalled plugins to see if it was conflicting but it is not fixing the error

    @beth606 I’ve tested this on another site, but I’ve been unable to reproduce. Subcategories that have at least one product in them, are displayed correctly on the category page.

    This would indicate that there’s something in your site’s setup specifically that is causing this behavior. Have you tried temporarily switching your theme? Try activating the Storefront theme, and see if the subcategories are shown then. If that’s the case, the issue would be within your theme – in which case I’d recommend reaching out to your theme developer for guidance.

    I have communicated directly via email with regards to the error. Your solution did not work. I was given a CSS code to insert into the theme but this caused another problem. I made a video and mailed it to the other support person.
