    Hello folks,

first of all, thank you for this great plugin.

Unfortunately, I have problems with creating sub-albums.

    Example:

I have the album Stammtische and want to create a sub-album under it.

To do this, go to the frontend and select the album Stammtische there and click on create sub-album.

After I created the sub-album I can’t find it anymore.

Of course, as an admin, I know how to help, because when I go to the album admin area, I don’t find the newly created album where it should be, but in the members area.

Here the album can be found without the title under which it was created but with the ongoing album ID.

What is wrong in my settings?

Also, I would like all albums to be public first and any member of our site can add pictures to them.

A lot at once but I hope someone can help me.

    And sorry for translation problems.

I did that with google translate as my english would be even worse… ??

Maybe you have set Advanced settings -> New -> I -> Item 17: Default parent always.
The missing name and description is a bug. Will be fixed in the next version. Pls correct at the backend for the moment

    Somehow that doesn’t work.
    Here are my settings

Item 16 says: Default parent: none, i.e. create toplevel album when no parent is specified. Like the blue ?reate new empty album’ button.

Item 17 says: Default parent always, i.e. even when a parent is specified – like when clicking the Create subalbum link on an album cover – the parent will be set to none, i.e. toplevel.

    Untick Item 17

    Unfortunately doesn’t work.
    No matter what I do.
All sub-albums are generated in Members Album.

Ok, it is due to the same bug as the missing name and description. Will be fixed in the next version.

    Thanks very much, Jacob…

Can I continue creating the albums and sub-albums or will the structure be lost continue with the fix in the next update?

Thank you, I installed the new update and now it works with setting up the subdirectories.

However, if I switch to the subdirectories, this error message appears:

Warning: call_user_func_array() expects parameter 1 to be a valid callback, function ‘disable_gutenberg_register_settings’ not found or invalid function name in /var/www/web123456789/html/wp-includes/class-wp-hook.php on line 307

    edit:
I uninstalled the Disable Gutenberg plugin. Now everything fits.

If you do not want gutenberg, like myself, use the official plugin:
