Sub Menu Items Expanded by Default

    I have sub menu links in the sidebar but to view them you have to press the down arrow to expand the menu.

    Is there a way to have the menu expanded by default? and to also to hide the down arrow which expands the menu?

    I am using a child theme to make the edits with.
