  • In the same way you’d link to the parent page.

    Parent page example link.

    example.com/parent_page_url

    With anchor.

    example.com/parent_page_url#anchor

    Is that what you mean?

    hi, thank you for answering!:)
well, i know how the string should look like, but in my wordpress i don’t where to write this command linked to the subpage items, and what happens to the empty subpages itself, i only want the menu-items to jump within parent page content…, so many questions;)
    s.

What kind of menu are you using? The new nav menus in 3.0?

    Thread Starter stephanie_2

    (@stephanie_2)

yes i work with 3.0, but my theme doesn’t have the nice menu system as the Twenty Ten them has…

    (@stephanie_2)

i bought a theme which doesn’t have this function..
i’ll build a site for a friend here:

Without knowing how your menu works it’s not possible for me to make a definitive suggestion.

With the nav menu in 3.0 it would be a case of making a few custom links, with another menu it’s anyones guess.

If you can provide the code that generates your current menu i’ll do what i can to help.

For posting code, anything over 15 lines, please use a pastebin.

oh, thank you for this offer! ..since this whole theme is so tricky set up and i’m not even shure why the menu stuff does not show up in the sidebar.php i could just give you an testsite login per e-mail if you don’t mind…

I only need to see the menu code, is the menu in the header or a seperate menu file?

Or does the menu have an interface in the admin area?

    Thread Starter stephanie_2

    (@stephanie_2)

in the admin area not. its in the functions.php
    <script src=”https://pastebin.com/embed_js.php?i=TPML7hE0″></script&gt;

they have a documentation (which is not wp based, just a static site) where they do exactly that, what i wish to realize in my site; subpages jump to anchors…
    https://wolfgangboehmer.com/_site/documentation/
they sayd it’ll be in one of the upcoming versions, ..maybe, couldn’t tell me how it is done.

With the pastebin, just copy the link provided once you’ve submitted a paste.

Ideally you should raise your question with the theme developers if you’ve purchased the theme they should provide support for their code.

However, if you can get a pastebin link posted i’ll happily take a look at the code for you.

    (@stephanie_2)

sorry don’t understand…? paste a link, which link, why pasting just a link?

    Thread Starter stephanie_2

    (@stephanie_2)

i guess this is the answer:
    link
i added already this to my functions.php and the “menu” function shows up at the dashboard/appearance…!
    but
    doesn’t work yet…
i’m not shur if i have to put this somewhere…?:
    link

Sorry what i was getting at before was providing the code from the theme file that contains the code for your menu by using a pastebin (nevermind, looks like you have other plans).

Regarding the code above, it would go into the theme file which currently contains your menu (likely header.php).
