• Hello – I am not techy so hopefully the following makes sense.

The latest update on 11th to 5.5 Eckstine appears to have removed access to my sub-menus when viewing my website. When hovering the mouse or tapping headers in my main menu, submenus should open but they do not.

Is this a recognised problem with this update on the 11th. It could actually have been an issue with the update on the 4th but if it was, I did not notice it.
    Regards

    Mark

  • Hi @mulledwine
Sorry for the menu issue that you are experiencing. Have you tried rolling back to a previous version, say 5.4? Does this issue still persist when this is done?

Also, which plugin are you using to render the menu, if any?

Also let us know which theme you are using.

You could use a plugin such as WP downgrade to check this out(roll back to a previous working version of WordPress). If the issue still persists, it may have to do with the relationship between your site, the theme in action and/or the plugin used to render the menu (if any).

    Hello Samedi

Thank you for your speedy reply.

I have not tried rolling back to a previous version as yet. To be honest I was not sure how to load up a previous WP version. I did not want to use a backup version of my site as I have added such a lot of information since the 4th or 11th of August and I don’t want to lose it.

The theme I am using is Kopa Musica.

I don’t think I am using a specific plugin for the menus other than that within the Kopa Musica Theme ( sorry but as I say I am not techy but I think this is the case!).

I have always used Kopa Musica and have not had this issue before.

These are the plugins I have – some are not activated.

Please don’t post in the Alpha/Beta forum unless you’re actually testing the alpha/beta version of WordPress (not a plugin or a theme). Also, once WordPress has released a version, it’s not appropriate to post in alpha/beta and you should post in the Fixing WordPress forum:

This post has been moved out for you.

Samedi – With regards to your previous reply – can you tell me how to roll back to a previous version of WP without using the backup and restore option for my website. Thank you.
