Very thankful for your responsive menu plugin. Looks like exactly what we need. I have a problem with the sub-menu not wanting to display. I have searched the support pages here and have found a few who had the same problem. I have looked around for any plugins that could be conflicting. It’s possible that something in the template menu is conflicting, but since I’m not familiar with the plugin, I’m not sure where to begin to troubleshoot.

We are running an old version of WordPress currently as we are working on a re-design. In the interim, we want to use your plugin for the old site and the new site…making the old site more usable on mobile until we get the re-design complete.

I will personally purchase the unlimited license for our organization immediately upon successful integration of the sub-menu.

    The dev site is…
    https://dev.rivchurch.com

Currently setup for mobile only…so only displays on < 800px wide screen. We will be using the pro features once this hurdle is overcome.

Trying to set it up so a click/tap on parent menu expands the child menu.

I can send you admin access to the dev site via private message.

    Hi there,

Does the menu you have assigned to my plugin have sub menu items as you seem to be using a different one to your main site menu.

If so, what value do you have in the menu depth option field inside my plugins options?

Finally have you turned on the Ignore Parent click items option?

If you have done all the above and it still doesnt work then I am more than happy to take a look if you mail over your details.

    All the best

    Thank you.

Yes, the menu is different than main menu. I confirmed with dev tools that the sub-menu items are present in html. All parent items you can see have at least 2 child items with valid links. To test, I turned on Auto-expand All Submenus. This indeed shows all sub-menus.

    Menu depth = 5

Ignore Parent Item Clicks = ON

This has been resolved via email

Ehmm… and what about the rest of us? Could you please elaborate what solved the issue? I have the same issue after upgrading and I suppose that more will have the issue in the future…
This is a support forum, so fixing issues via. mail seems a bit off?

    Hi there,

Why is that off? Feel free to open a new support ticket, I always answer.

It was a very specific problem to the user so would not be a general fix to put here.

The user was on version 3.5 still of WordPress so you can try that (if it applies to you).

Was very happy with the support I received. We went to email because I offered admin credentials to him. We thought we were stuck with an older version of WordPress. v3.5. Turns out the admin went ahead and upgraded wordpress and all is working properly now. He will give very good support. Sometimes the right answer is to fix something on our end ??

    Hey faldeland,

Thanks for the reply too and great we got it fixed. As said Philip please open a support request if you are still having issues and I will gladly help ??

    All the best

Great plugin but seems like the 3.0 upgrade caused the same issues with the sub-menu on my site so given the earlier responses this might be indeed a more general issue.
I’m on the latest WordPress version.

Would be great if you could provide a few more details on what changed to the sub-menus.

    Thanks!

    Hey there,

Nothing was really changed except the clasd names but the functionality is still the same.

It uses the standard wp_nav_menu() call it always has done.

Please open a new support ticket if you are having issues.

    All the best

Stupid question but how do I open a support ticket? Sorry I guess this is insanely easy ??
Is it just about creating a new thread?

    Thanks

Ok I found the problem. Another plugin called “Menu Image” is causing the problems.
Unfortunatlely I need Menu Images so either I find another plugin or try to solve this w/o a plugin.

For now I just auto-expand all menu items which is feasible as I don’t have a very big sub-menu structure.

    Thanks!

    Hey there,

Ill take a look at the other plugin and see if I can find a reason for the incompatability.

    All the best

    Hey there,

Thanks for the awesome support, this is truly outstanding and I’m about to buy the pro version to support your work!

    Thanks!

Thanks very much – I do appreciate it alot!

Can you provide a link to the menu image plugin you are having issues with as I cant find the right one on the repository.

    All the best

The plugin is called “Menu Image” from Alex Davyskiba aka Zviryatko.
The weird thing is that the plugin site is no longer available. Only the support forum is.

Maybe it might be even easier to switch to another menu image plugin ??
