  • The problem is that you can have multiple sub categories with the same name – for example:

    T-Shirts – Men
    T-Shirts – Women
    Hoody – Men
    Hoody – Women

    The T-Shirts and Hoody are main categories – but the two Men and Women sub categories have the same name even though they have a different parent. The CSV importer needs to know which Men or Women sub category to add the product to.

    Unfortunately you need to use the ‘Main Category > Sub Category’ for the import to work properly.

    Thanks for the reply seank123 but i don’t think that quite answers the problem. This is a new change as i was always able to upload all the category’s as stated in my above post. Its awkward as i have stated as i sell products that don’t always relate to each others Main category but do relate to Sub category’s of other Main category’s. So in effect what i have to do now is add them manually. This means more work.
