    Thanks for this useful plugin! I installed it today and it mostly seems to work well. I’ve encountered two problems, however.

    One problem I see is that the “expand” icon used on a sub-category is wrong when the page first loads. It shows – when it should be +, and the same problem occurs when using the triangle option. After expanding and contracting the sub-categories the icon is correct.

    You can see this at girlwithaglass.com/blog. The category list is in the left column. Click on the + next to For Wine Drinkers. You’ll see that the symbol next to the sub-category Learn About Wine is – when it should be +. I see this in Chrome and Safari on Mac.

    The other problem occurs when using Safari on Mac. I’ve set ex_sym=+ and con_sym=- in my shortcode, yet once the + icon is clicked, it changes to a triangle and remains that way!

    This is definitely a bug, i’ll fix it as soon as possible.

    In order to find it, are you adding it through a shortcode or widget?

    Your category tree is the samea as the website? Nothing is hide? So i can reproduce the bug and fix it.

    I’m adding it through a shortcode. The specific code is:
    echo do_shortcode('[jQuery Categories List layout=right fx_in=slideDown exclude=109]');

    Because Safari on Mac has a bug with the + and – symbols I’ve used the default triangles. One category is hidden.

    Thanks!

    I’ve fixed the bug at the latest version. I couldn’t reproduce the MAC bug because i don’t have any mac computer, can you confirm me if it still applies? Do you have multiples instancies of this plugin?

    I updated the plugin to 2.2.2 and found that clicking on the triangle icon simply took me to the category page, it didn’t expand to show the sub-categories. This happened on a Mac with both Chrome and Safari. I used Chrome Dev Tools to inspect the page and didn’t see any warnings or errors. When I reverted the plugin to 2.2.1 it worked fine.

    Sorry, I didn’t have time to try disabling other plugins or anything like that. If I have time this week I will, but I wanted to let you know that 2.2.2 didn’t work for me. Thanks!

    I’m only using one instance of the widget, displayed using a shortcode.

    I think I’ve found the error, could you please update again (downloading the sources again or using wordpress dashboard) it should work.

    Hi Miguel,

    Thanks for your responsiveness. I updated to 2.2.3 and the expand/contract works fine with the shortcode. Also, the sub-category expand icon displays correctly. I tested using different browsers on Mac and Windows. Thanks again for this useful little plugin. Muchísimas gracias!
