    Hello,

When “Filtered Post Types” > “Posts” Option is enabled in PublishPress Permissions Core settings, the website is no longer show Sub Categories + Posts in the main menu. I have to disable that “Posts” option in order for the menu to show correctly but then I’ll lose PublishPress services which I’m using to restrict WordPress users to posting in specific categories.

Any workaround? I also encourage you seeing the screenshots below.

Below Image shows the main menu not showing sub categories posts when the Filtered Posts Setting is Enabled.

Below Image shows the main menu working correctly showing sub categories posts when the Filtered Posts Setting is Disabled.

Side note: Console doesn’t show any errors.
    PublishPress Permissions Version: 3.11.5
    WordPress Version: 6.4.3
    PHP Version: 8.1.27

    Kind regards,
    Mohammed Kadhim

    Hi @mohammedkadhim

    Thanks for using PublishPress Permissions.

Can you inform me what theme you are using?

    Thanks,

    Hello @rizaardiyanto

    Theme is Sahifa by Tielabs

Kindly note that the problem can be replicated with any theme that has Mega Menu feature which shows Sub categories + posts within the main menu.

    Kind regards,

@mohammedkadhim Can you give me a quick clue how to replicate this from a fresh install with Max Mega Menus? I have that plugin installed, but don’t see anything about Subcategories and Posts in the settings, nor do Posts or Subcategories show in the menu with Permissions deactivated.

Hi. I actually experienced the same issue with Theme YooTheme Pro.

Deactivating the plugin or the mentioned core setting helps. But this cant be the fix ??

So this issue marked as resolved but where is the solution?

    Cheers

    @unitize

The issue wasn’t solved the author requires me installing specific menu plugin to replicate the issue which I don’t have time to test on my site.

Please if you could find a way to fix it let me know.

@unitize We haven’t been able to replicate the issue. If you could share some screen recording on how to replicate it, we will be able to continue the investigation.

@rizaardiyanto Sure i’ll try my best.
    Theme in use: YooTheme Pro

On a template for categories i want to display all its sub-categories as a clickable list. If the PublishPress Permissions Pro plugin is “NOT” activated the list of sub-categories is shown.

I guess you can download the Theme as well and setup a sample page which uses “Dynamic Content” and query for some categories with sub-categories.

As soon as i activate the plugin the list of sub-categories is not shown.

If i use the native WordPress widget to show categories all categories and its sub-categories are shown.

    Hello @unitize, @stevejburge, @rizaardiyanto

I’d really appreciate if you guys can please update this thread with the solution once the issue is fixed. I’m still struggling with the issue this plugin is causing to my site.

Since me and @unitize share the exact same issue, the solution on his site will probably work on mine.

    Kind regards.
