Su Carousel – Responsive

I’m using the shortcode ultimate plugin specifically for the carousel function. It works great, with one issue I can’t figure out. It’s beautifully responsive – till you get below about 600px wide and then the titles overlap each other and the slides become all mashed together.

I know the code I put in dictates that there should be 4 slides showing at a time, but can that be overridden somehow to change to 1 at smaller viewing screens? Or perhaps 4 showing, but converted to a vertical layout instead of horizontal?

Please let me know if there’s any way to do this that won’t get overridden by the javascript ASAP.
