styling threaded comments -numbers?

On the threaded comments on my theme, there is a number before each comment.
The first comment will have number one, the second nr two, and then if you reply to comment number three, that threaded comment has number one again.
How do I change this? I’d like to remove the number completely.
Im calling the comments with<?php wp_list_comments(); ?>.
