Styling links created using the file uploader feature
-
I posted a query about this a couple hours ago over here in the How To and Troubleshooting Forum. I’ve just realised it should have probably gone here … sorry. Really hope someone can help…
What I asked was:
I used to use Tom Wood’s attach-file plugin to add links to reports/documents and I am now trying to move accross to using the built-in WordPress feature. The plugin automatically styled the links it added to my posts. I’ve now managed to edit the php.ini file to allow me to upload documents that exceed the 2M limit, and I’ve created a page called ‘Reports‘. Using the feature, I have uploaded two reports (links) to that page. At the moment, the links are straightforward html links based on the page style.
I would like to be able to have a different style automatically associated with all the links on this page and other as I add them to posts or this page, but I don’t know how to go about doing that. When I ‘view source’, I can’t see the class associated with this so I don’t know how/if I can edit my stylesheet. Can someone help?
Second – is there a way, when I add the file to the page/post as a link, to get it to include the description underneath the link? (This being the description I wrote in the upload dialogue box?) At the moment I only get a link. And is there a way to have a CSS style automatically associated with the description – one that might be different to the link immediately above it?
