Styling issues that I cannot get back to being correct

    Hi,

    I added W3 Total Cache and Autoptimize to significantly speed up my website. However, it appears now I have some styling issues. On the home page I have some lists with images and now bullet points have been added, which they shouldn’t be there for this theme. Also, the blog homepage isn’t formatted correctly.     To try and resolve this problem by going back to when I started, I turned all settings off on both W3 Total Cache and Autoptimize but it didn’t resolve, I also cleared all the cache on both plug-ins, deactivated the plug-ins, I also deactivated all plug-ins and deleted and re-added the theme. But no matter what I do I cannot go back to how the theme was supposed to look.

    I’m certainly no expert, I’m not even a website designer/developer, but I would have thought that by clearing all the cache and turning the plug-ins off, if there’s any problem with the website it should go back to how it was.

    I just wondered if you know of anything that I may need to clear in Autoptimize or anywhere else in order to get the website back to its original state.

    Autoptimise is a great plug-in and has certainly helped to speed up my website, but I have this styling issue that I can’t resolve and if I could at least get back to it looking correct I can then move forward.

    -> you don’t happen to have your site blocked for certain (non-UK) locations, do you?
    -> the screenshot in the webpagetest result looks OK, no?

    OK, can access the site now and based on the HTML source both AO & W3TC are active and -at first sight- all looks OK, cfr. this screenshot;

    Thanks for your time, its strange that you cannot see the site as I don’t have any plugins to stop certain geographical areas from seeing the site.

    The site does have AO & W3TC active and at first sight the site looks ok and is fast, but the theme styling isn’t correct with the examples in the above screenshots, with stlying issues.

    to try and get the theme styling correct and back to normal, I cleared AO & W3TC cache then turned off settings and disabled plugins, and I thought that would get the site back to the original, being the styling correct but slow. But that didn’t work. I even tried deleting and re-adding the theme.

    Is it correct that when you clear AO cache and turn off all settings and disable plugin, then the code will go back to its original state?

    Thanks for your help. I think the next step is for me to contact the theme’s support

    yes, but when looking at your homepage’s HTML source, I still see references to autoptimize. I also see

    which might indicate that there is a caching layer at play (at your hoster) which is interfering somehow?

    Hi,

    Sorry, yea AO & W3TC are enabled as the extra bullets at the top of the home page were not there and I remove the bullets at the bottom of the homepage using additional CSS. When I deactivated AO & W3TC and removed that additional CSS the homepage look like this screenshot: https://www.screencast.com/t/LsMqkB4RBi

    I’ve now found the problem. It was the closing </script> In the Google Analytics script had been removed. not sure what caused that but all fixed now.
