Styling comments for registered authors

Pardon me if this has already been discussed, but my Search Fu is weak today and I didn’t find anything about it.

I’d like to put different styles on comments if they’re written by me or a user who is registered in WordPress. I’ve seen a bunch of plugins/modifications that style comments differently based on the email the user provides, but I consider that to be unsafe since anyone could pose as me by filling in my email address. I’d like to require the user (me, mostly) to actually be logged in when writing the comment for it to be styled differently.

Has anyone done something like this?

edit: I’d prefer it as a plugin or PHP code direct in the templates; not as a hack in the WP files.
