• Hi guys! I can’t understand one thing. There are a lot of multipurpose themes like Astra or OceanWP that has own CSS. Also, these themes have multiple demos, each of which has its CSS too. My question is next. If I want to make my multipurpose theme where I should store CSS for demos that I will make too? Should I create new CSS files for every demo or expand one general stylesheet with new classes and rules? Actually, I do not fully understand how the process of creating styles demo content for multipurpose themes. Can you explain it to me?

  • You’re best off creating stylesheets for each section/type and then including them only when they are needed. Having one big stylsheet with everything in it will bloat your site(s) badly.

I thought so too. But in the Astra, I didn’t see any change size of stylesheet files after demo content installation. Not found new css files too. Do they use particular CSS from plugins?

I don’t use Astra, so I can’t comment on how it does things.

But just because one commercial theme does something one way doesn’t mean that it’s the right way. ?? You have the power to decide how you want to organise your themes files the way that suits you and your uses.
