• Hiya,

I’m sorry if I’m expecting a lot here, but I’ve recently been messing about with the Blix Theme and all was looking okay under IE6 on the PC. Now I’ve checked with Firefox and Safari I suddenly notice, OMG, it looks completely doolally!! Here’s my blog:

Now I’m not asking anyone to debug my CSS for me, because, I just re-pasted in the original Blix stylesheets to be on the safe side… And it’s still messing up. I’ve even compared my HTML code up against another site that uses Blix, and I can’t for the life of me see the reason it’s all aligning to the center…. It looks AWFUL. LOL.

Anyway – I’m just writing this on the off-chance that someone spots it and goes “oh yeah I have that problem all the time, you’re missing a div tag there”… Or a similar type of response. It’s just a stab in the dark because I’ve completely run out of ideas… What on Earth is going on?

Any help much much much appreciated!! ??

    thanks

    :-Joe

wow, that’s all quite interesting… Thanks for that.

Having said that, I’m really surprised at all the stuff it has picked up. It states several times that certain tags cannot have certain attributes, like a script tag cannot have a language attribute, and an object tag is not allowed to have an embed attribute… What’s that all about? That’s the only way you can get a Flash object embedded, surely? Should I take this information with a pinch of salt?

The language attribute on a script tag is deprecated. You should use the type attribute instead.

And for embedding Flash files, you should use the object tag instead of the embed tag.
