I have uploaded the themes “Pool,” “Almost-Spring,” and “Blix.” When I try to select them, I get the following overall message:
The following themes are installed but incomplete. Themes must have a stylesheet and a template.

The details column says for each, “Missing a stylesheet.”

I followed the directions, and I cannot seem to find any more. Am I doing something wrong? How can I fix this?

  • Check that you haven’t uploaded double folders, a common mistake when using new themes.

Sometimes, when you exact your downloaded file onto your computer, then upload via FTP, there’s a double folder inserted which stops the connection to your new themes.

    yoursite.com
    -wordpress
    –wp-content
    —themes
    —blix
    —-blix
    —–styles.css

i’ve done this so many times in the past lol

Thank you for your help! I also found information that advised that sometimes one has to create a directory ending in css in order for the style sheets to work. I just did this and although I’m not sure WHY it worked, it did. LOL.

    Thank you again!
