I guess there are two plugins that do this? I’m at wits end as to how to use either of them. Can anyone tell me how to use one of them in plain simple terms? (I’m sorry, but I don’t speak French or understand broken English.)

Did you read the instructions that came with the plugins? They are usually pretty straight forward. Which ones are you considering so we can be more specific with our help?

    First, I tried
    Alex King’s WP Style Switcher
. The problem with that one was that the stylesheets have to be in a separate directory from the theme, so the background image paths weren’t correct in my CSS. Yes, a minor problem, but I don’t want to change all of the paths for each stylesheet I add to the switcher.

    Then, I tried
    Stylesheet Chooser
. I couldn’t understand the steps to install that plugin, so I couldn’t get it to work.

    pezastic,
I am afraid those plugins are for WP 1.2, for the 1.5 there is a “template switcher”

Yes, that is what I am currently using. However, I have to have multiple theme directories to have different stylesheets for just one theme. I was trying to find something simpler that would allow me to have different stylesheets for one theme.

i don’t think there’s anything that currently works with 1.5 to do what you want. could be wrong though.

pezastic the only other thing you could do is to have several stylesheets named differently and to call each style sheet within the file.

And how do I do that?

I have’nt tried it with 1.5 yet, but I think a style sheet chooser like this will work:

I am not sure that any of this is quite right. Ryans switcher lets you switch themes. A theme however can consist of CSS only. They could all use the same core *theme* and templates. Is that what you want ?
