• I have two sites which I manage on the same server with mydomain.com.
I have exactly the same WP Theme (Divi, by Elegant Themes) and exactly the same plugins. On my fwboreham.com site TinyMCE Custom Styles works perfectly. But on findingtruthmatters.org it doesn’t. I have deleted and re-installed the plugin. I have cleared the cache. I have made sure the .css files have been created on the server. But still it doesn’t show up in the Format dropdown menu.
I have contacted the Host and they said that it is a plugin issue. I have looked on the forum and cannot see any solutions offered to this particular problem.
Is there a way I can fix this?

    Hi @drandrewc,

I am at a loss as to what could be happening, in view of your message that two websites are set up the same, but only one works. Some ideas:

    • I’m not a fan of Divi Theme, it has a poor loading time and an unusual business model. There’s always a chance that problems with the theme can scupper a plugin, although that seems unlikely in your case as one site works. My favourite themes are Jupiter (premium) and Weaver Xtreme (free + pro). But that’s just an aside.
    • Are they both using the same version of PHP, with the same modules? Have you checked for errors in the PHP logs?
    • Have you debugged the network traffic (which files being loaded when a page loads) in case some browser plugin or security issue is causing some JS to fail to be loaded? You can use the inbuilt debugger in any of the major browsers to look for this.
    • Have you checked in the browser debugger console if there are any javascript errors being noted?
    • I notice the link you supplied above is to http not https. (Aside: I nowadays make ALL my sites https, Google likes it and nearly all sites have some sort of user inteaction, e.g. contact form, nowadays). Could there be some security issue when you log in to the backend using https (I sure hope you do!)

Hope this helps, would be glad to hear from you!

    Thanks Tim.
I really appreciate your reply. I’ll check the debugging.
