Styles – Fonts: Visible but cannot be assigned to Headings etc.

I have tried to find a solution for days now. As far as I can see it’s a bug. So I’ll hand in a bug report.

Hi @perthykjaerjensen! Can you also try the Create Block theme plugin to add fonts to your theme, and then save your changes as a custom style. The plugin will add an option for both things under Appearance in your dashboard.

Thanx for the suggestion. I know the plugin you mention, but it should be possible to add custom fonts without plugins via theme.json.

It is also possible to add e.g. google fonts via custom CSS; but again – I’m looking for a stable solution via theme.json.

The reason that properlypurple asked that is to see if this would work in this way, as this could indicate an issue in your specific implementation.

Create Block Theme allows you to export your changes as a theme (and move it from the database to your theme files).

Also, if you are not using the Gutenberg plugin (only the native editor) while doing that, please try with it activated and deactivated and let me know if you see a difference.
