• Hello,

So I logged in through SFTP on Coda 2 to my site. I opened the style.css under wp-content, themes, etc.

Made changes. Saved and it uploaded.

I have no cacheing plugins. Cleared browser and it didn’t update the page with the changes. If I go back through SFTP, I find my stylesheet with my changes.

But if I do view source on the live page, it shows the old style.css. I don’t see another one in the files. And they are named the same thing.

Is there some other step I’m missing? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you for your time.

Did you try clearing your browser’s cache? Are you using CloudFlare? What is the URL of the site?

No cloud flare and I did clear my browser cache as well as used multiple browsers.

Ok, despite not running any cache plugins yourself, do you see a “Clear/Purge Cache” button in your Dashboard or admin bar?

There is a FLUSH CACHE. I’ve done that a few times.

Ok, so you’re with GoDaddy Managed WordPress hosting then? I recommend checking with them, as their Flush Cache is definitely not flushing the cache.

Can my previous post be removed with the link to my site? I’ve been inundated with requests from spammers trying to setup new user accounts ever since I posed it.

Any help from a moderator would be great.

    Thanks!

It is not the general policy to edit or delete forum posts. When a post is made and people contribute answers to an issue, that then becomes part of the community resource for others to benefit from. Deleting posts removes this added value. In extreme circumstances, the moderation team might be persuaded to remove sensitive information but generally, your best course of action is not to publish anything that you wouldn’t want to be public. I’m sorry but this is not an extreme case.

Thanks. I appreciate your feedback. For me, one of the users got into my system and removed me. I can now no longer access my site. Unfortunately, it is extreme for me. I saw it start the minute I posted the link.

I understand the policy, just asked.

    Thank you.

I removed the link, it’s not necessary for the context of this post as a historical answer.

How do you suppose the new users removed you? The default registration level should be Subscriber, which only has the power to edit its own profile, nothing more.

I’m not sure. But the day I posted that, I got requests for users. It was denied. I try to log in today, nothing works. Username, email, all are rejected by wordpress and I can no longer access anything.

This is a silly blog that only I have access to.

Even phpmyadmin password has been changed.

I don’t know that that is what happened, just covering my bases to make sure while I try to get in.

    Thank you for your help.

Even phpmyadmin password has been changed.

Then either your hosting provider did that, or someone got access to your hosting account. I recommend contacting your hosting provider ASAP.

    On with them now.

    Thanks!

    You’re welcome!

Johnny Sea, did you ever resolve being able to use Coda with a GoDaddy Managed WordPress site? I’ve come up with the same problem as mentioned in your first post. Talking with GoDaddy, they tell me I need to go back to a regular hosted site to be able to use Coda. Before I go that route, I wanted to just make sure there was no way around it.

    Thanks!
