• Hi,

this is not my first WP install so im realy confused. I recursivly chmoded the theme directors with mode 770 and get the error style.css file not readable. But its (like the default theme too) 770. I even tryed 777 but not even this works. I dont know what to do know, maybe someone has an idea.

  • Folders should have 755 and files 644 (on a normal server).

Well thtas exactly how i did it, but the strange thing is, that even with 777 (which should work 100%) wordpress is telling me that style.css is not readable.

I installed via a install script that the hoster offered to me. Maybe this could cause the error? But the install looked basicly the same like if i had uploaded it to the server myself.

Im not sure how to solve this problem.. Maybe someone have a tip for me..

    Thanks in advance.

I have the same problem too. The custom-uploaded templates (from this or any other free-templates sites) can’t be chosen from the Design site, as the “style.css” for each template “is not readable.” The CHMOD for all the files inside the folder is 777. Just like the default & classic templates (which are the only ones shown).

    Any suggestions?

    thnx

    Check parent directory permissions.

I am getting the following error message: Fatal error: Call to undefined function get_header() in /home/content/d/c/n/dcnelson/html/Roundballtimes.com/index.php on line 1

    Any idea how to correct?

That has nothing to do with this topic.
Missing file(s), folders. Upload a fresh copy of the WP files.
