style sheet missing

  • why if i upload new theme from my local computer which is zip file, i got error message which says style sheet is missing? so how to fix it ,because I’m new to some programs.

  • Try another theme. The one you uploaded may well have been faulty.

    I have this same problem. I can even see the style.css file has been uploaded, but it continues to tell me that every theme (I have tried 10) I try to use is “broken.”

    When you put this in your address bar are you able to see/download the style sheet?
    https://YOURSITE.com/wp-content/themes/YOUR-THEME/style.css
    If not, then your theme was not uploaded correctly.
