I have been waiting to upgrade Nextgen for some time. However it kept breaking other sliders in my theme. With 2.40, it does not break the theme, but it is only using some of my stylesheet changes. One main problem is that it is now displaying the image file name above the thumbnails. I had this turned off previously. Not sure what to do to fix this. Below is my style sheet:

@rldev – Thanks for starting your own topic!

The image file name above the thumbnail may be due to the current NextGEN Gallery not using a custom(ized) template you were using with NextGEN Legacy. You may need to re-create and/or re-add that custom template to see this issue addressed.

Also, due to the many changes going from NextGEN Legacy to NextGEN Gallery there could be changes in how the CSS is being parsed for your particular installation. Have you tried adding the !important directive to those CSS properties that appear not to be used?

I will give it a try and post back.

I don’t recall using a custom template. Can you tell me where that would be placed on the legacy version?

Assuming the latest plugin(2.0.40) overwrites all changes, why is nextgen displaying file names on the thumbnails page? If the “Title and Description” field are empty, shouldn’t these be blank?
