• Are there any themes availeble where the style.css files are better commentated. I find it quit diffecult to figger out to what layouts the styles are refering to. Often I can’t find the styles and classes in the template files.
I like puzzles but it takes so much time…

  • you can work with the editing tool for php of your choise and a css tool together.

with opening the single pages in your theme, start with header.php if one is included and opening the style.css with the correct programm you can see how the theme is constructed

and you can comment it for yourself. it takes probably as much time as now, but you learn from and with your theme

h1 goes here, a visited – that is this…. and so on ??

i wished i would use my tipp myself, i also find nothing, but i dont work very concentrated at the moment – in the rest the strenght lies

I recommend using firefox and grabbing the web developer extension for it, firefox, from https://chrispederick.com/work/webdeveloper/

It is, hands down, the most useful firefox extension available. On the fly CSS editing, (leave page open, edit CSS in sidebar, and watch page change) is just one of the things it can do.

Yeah, you can’t do anything without Chris’s plugin! It’s the best! Outline Block Elements — where would I be without it?
