• Hello,

    I have a wordpress website.

When I navigate with my browser to https://www.site.com/wp-content/themes/theme_name/style.css I can see that the file is full of css lines. When I go into appearence > editor, style.css appears to be a blank page!

How is that possible? I need to modify the css code, but the editor doesn’t show me the code that should be there…all other pages, including functions.php are showing the code also in the editor.

    Thank you

    Hey,

I’m afraid I don’t know the answer to your issue exactly but a work around (and I’d argue a better way of editing files) would be to make your changes over FTP. This allows you to work in a controlled environment (editor/IDE) on your machine that verifies there are no errors before you make the changes.

    Kind regards,
    Joey

Use a child theme. Don’t edit theme files directly.
