    Nita function of style pack, these are styled by your theme for instance twenty ten theme has this in the style.css

    input[type=”text”], input[type=”password”], input[type=”email”], input[type=”url”], input[type=”number”], textarea {
    background: #f9f9f9 none repeat scroll 0 0;
    border: 1px solid #ccc;
    box-shadow: 1px 1px 1px rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.1) inset;
    padding: 2px;
    }
