After installing the plugin there are two pages among those it creates, (1) User Account — MasterStudy Private Account, and (2) User Public Account — MasterStudy Public Account.

Questions re logging in and registering:

Visually there’s no difference in these pages in a browser. What’s the difference between them?
Both forms have Login and Sign Up forms, with the sign up form expandable to register as an instructor. Is it possible to have a separate sign up form for instructors?

    Question re users lists:

I see not option in the admin area to view a list of currently registered students that can be sorted by the courses they’re enrolled in. Is this possible?

Is there a way to view a list of instructors by the courses they teach?

    Thanks.

    Hi,

By default private account is for the users’ end to view his own profile, while the public page is for observing the profile for the other users.

The login/register form is a static form and it’s general for the users and instructors’ registration. There is no option in the LMS settings to separate registration for users and instructors by default

Users and instructors are Users of WordPress in general. All of your site users and instructors you can observe under the default Users section of the WordPress dashboard. (WP dashboard -> users -> all users)

    Cheers

There’s nothing to be cheerful about with this reply because it sounds like you’re saying this is a hobbyist app for people pursuing a hobby project, programmed for the liking of the developers and not the users. I could just have easily chosen to use a full blown free opensource LMS like Moodle or ATutor but chose instead to go after having a WordPress integration AND the possibility of importing SCORM courses..

Your answer to the questions are that (1) you can’t have two separate forms for student and instructor registration because it’s just a fancy face on regular WordPress registration. I am sure that there’s the possibility of having one form with the basic username. email, password fields for students and another with the already extended fields created for potential instructors by the admin.

I’d like to have separate links for student registration and instructors because I don’t like the unprofessional look of one form for both.

    (2) The suggestion is that the admins of the site should have no interest or option to look at broad information on students in tabular form so they can see who’s registered, what they’re registered for and their payment status, is absurd.

Why should I just want to see names and email addresses in aggregate form? It can’t be that tough to generate student registration and instructor registration forms either as they are programmatically now or empty with the chance to insert shortcodes.

    Hello @starapple

    Thank you for reaching out!

    1. Instructors and students register/login through a single form for the following reasons:

    a) We have explored LMS platforms and it causes a number of inconveniences when the forms are divided with separate links. Sometimes students try login in using the instructor’s login form and complain their credentials not working. That is why the free LMS platform Moodle also uses a single form for all user roles.

    b) When users try to register as instructors, they will mark “register as an instructor” and additional fields will appear. In our LMS platform both the form redirects both instructors and users to their accounts after successfully signing in. The page is the same for them. User public account is for instructors, and visible for the public.

    c) The registration form can be modified and the additional fields can be added for all, or only for users who are trying to register as instructors. This feature is available in the Pro version of the plugin, and according to the rules of this forum, we do not publish information about Pro features on https://www.remarpro.com:

    2. By opening LMS -> Courses -> manage students, you can get a list of the students with their detailed progress for a certain course. There is no option to show all enrolled courses for students.

    Kind regards
