    This “infinite restoring database” problem still seems to persist in 4.13 and I’ve encountered it now in multiple installations on several service providers. The thing is, when it gets stuck at this point I always see two things:

    1. All the themes, content, plugins etc. seem to have been transferred succesfully
    2. You get logged out from the importing installation

    I’m starting to think this problem has something to do with point number 2. I’ve checked and I don’t get an error.log so could it merely be you get logged out of a session while the final stages are going on and the plugin has no way to handle that?

    Hi Mindblighter,

    If the plugin log you out, that means the database is already transferred and the migration is completed.
    You can then log in with username/password of your exported site.

    Yes, I’ve assumed that the import actually does get completed since the sites seem to work as expected, but because the transfer animation keeps playing and you don’t get any notifications, there’s no way of knowing the transfer is complete. You don’t even know you’ve been logged out unless you try to access the site in a different browser/tab/window.

    I totally agree with you and will see what the engineers could do to notify users that the import is actually successful in the future versions of the plugin.
